lavender/room was set up in March 2003 by friends Nicky Sanderson and Jenny Atherton. Friends for over 10 years, the girls had both established successful careers in the buying and sourcing side of London’s fashion industry. Attracted to Brighton for its relaxed, easy going atmosphere and its close proximity to London, lavender/room quickly became a ‘must-see’ shop in Brighton.

In just a few years lavender/room has evolved to become one of the UK’s most adored lifestyle boutiques. Believing there is a desire to go back to old-fashioned values of good and personalised customer service, Nicky and Jenny’s goal has always been for lavender/room, ‘to become our customers’ favourite shop’.
